Private Client Coaching Testimonials

"I had the fortunate opportunity to work with Jen on a one-to-one basis, working on the exercises from her Women Leaders Emerging program this past year. Living in NY, I was slightly skeptical when I received a strong recommendation for a coach living in London. I am so glad I didn't hesitate and instead began forging a working relationship with Jen. For me, the time difference has been a huge win - we speak early in the morning before work! Jen is at once empathic, intuitive, empowering, clear, succinct and direct. The exercises we did throughout the process were meaningful, allowing me to be introspective and fully supported my efforts for a career switch.
After the program completed, I made the (brilliant) decision to continue working with her on a monthly basis. I look forward to seeing where our work together takes me. Thank you for everything! I highly recommend Jen to anyone looking to work with career and life coach!"

Women Leaders Emerging Testimonials
![]() Through the WLE program, I gained valuable tools for navigating my professional and personal worlds. Through exercises in strategic planning, visioning, relational mapping, mission-writing, strength-identifying and positioning statements; I was able to better identify what I bring to the table with my eclectic and diverse set of skills and experiences, and where I want to go. I was able to turn ideas into concrete steps and actions, and be more intentional with how I position myself today, for tomorrow. And the best part, is that you share this growth with a group of like-minded, wonderful, ambitious, creative and powerful women. I recommend this program to every woman looking for a powerful, intentional space to share with other women, and who is looking to grow in her life and in her career and find creative, powerful and rewarding ways to set herself up for the future that she envisions.
- Anna Lapera, Presidential Management Fellow in Labor Rights and Safety. Future bi-lingual teacher.
WLE has given me the language to effectively create the path for my professional and personal life. Prior to going through the WLE program I could explicitly describe the things I didn't want in my life. After going through the program I can now articulate what it is that I want in my life, how I see things, what my strengths are, and more importantly I gained a community of women that are on a path realizing their full potential in this life. For me, this was revelatory. The support and energy has been unmatched in any other leadership program I've ever participated in. I am looking forward to shaking things up and realizing many dreams that have been simmering for a long time.
Zina - WLE Cohort 14 ![]() I had the pleasure of working with Jen on her six month coaching program, Women Leaders Emerging. This structured coaching circle has brought a number of definable positive results into my personal and professional life. It has given me the tools to articulate my own values, my own mission and both my short and long term goals. Being able to articulate these things has given me the power to give a clearer representation of who I am, what I have to offer, and what I want.
Ann Hamilton, PHR, Human Resources Professional, Ashevelle, NC WLE Cohort Through the WLE eperience, I became grounded in my values, clear on my vision, driven by my mission, and poised to create my future. Most importantly, I joined a sisterhood of powerful, down-to-earth women that value championing one another. If you are ready to discover what's possible in your life and enter a collaborative adventure with other inspirational women, this program is for you! It is worth every dollar and every minute.
- Sarah Martyn Crowell, Workforce Development Specialist, National Institutes of Health (NIH), WLE Cohort 6 "I did three months of month-to-month personal coaching with Jen, and I also participated in the Women Leaders Emerging circle. Both of these experiences were so powerful (and complimented each other). In one-to-one coaching Jen asked insightful, direct, and thoughtful questions and suggested powerful exercises, challenges, and resources. She helped me identify what my underlying questions and goals were - deeper and more nuanced than I saw at first.
The Women Leaders Emerging Circle was incredible. I felt (and still feel) honored to have shared such a powerful space with other women in a similar life phase as me, and doing so many amazing things around the country. We really learned by challenging each other and considering each others questions. Jen found me a perfect buddy match and we're going to continue our supportive relationship. I know that I will continue using the lessons I learned from both the circle and one-on-one coaching as I consider my next career steps and for many transitions to come." - Nichole, Non Profit Professional, Chicago, IL (WLE Cohort 1) "Jen Roberts is an intuitive and empathetic coach. When I initially signed up, I thought career coaching was only about advancement and strategy. Participating in Women Leaders Emerging was a lot more than that. Working with Jen, you learn how to put your whole self into the life coaching and to not fully compartmentalize your life. Moving to a new city, I figured out ways that building a community of friends was similar to my challenge of building a team at my new job. In one-on-one sessions, Jen had a real gift of stripping an issue down and getting to the heart of the matter. When I sent a long plan about finding my social media voice, she wondered if I had not launched myself yet. It was an insightful question. She has a way to be supportive but also to push you to get unstuck. She's got the pragmatism of a project manager, the facilitating skills of a good teacher and the heart and commitment of a thoughtful citizen. I know that sounds grand, but it's true. I felt like she could relate to all the different priorities in my life. I'm glad that I chanced upon Emerging Women Leaders, and I'm excited to see how I'll continue to use the techniques I learned there."

![]() " The Women Leaders Emerging (WLE) program gave me insight into who I am and what I want out of my career and life. Being a part of this small group of women, sharing our experiences, and helping each other through this transformation process was one of the most productive times in my life. I was encouraged to discover what I really need to be happy at work and at home. I found that the group kept me in check and pushed me forward when I needed a boost. I feel that now I am truly capable of realizing my full potential! I encourage anyone who feels they some direction and guidance to join the group."
-Caitlin, Bilingual Writer/Editor, Department of Labor WLE Cohort 5 ![]() I began WLE just as I was transitioning to a new city, Brooklyn, NY, and as I was launching myself as a full-time Entrepreneur. WLE gave me the community, the tools, and the conversations to take on these HUGE transitions successfully.
I now have the language to share what I am up to with others, both personally and professionally. I have more confidence to define, share, and stand tall in my personal brand and mission. This program was also INVALUABLE in helping me to simultaneously embrace who I am as a woman and as an entrepreneur and to confidently know that I don't have to choose one of the other--but truly get that I can have it all! -Leah Lakins, Founder and Chief Creative Officer, Fresh Eyes Editorial Services WLE was a life changing experience, impacting me for the better, both personally and professionally. I would recommend this program to anyone who is searching for clarity and language around creating one's vision for one's life. The returns on my investment in this program have been exponential.
Mary Floyd Page, WLE Cohort 12 ![]() "The WLE group introduced me to insightful, accomplished women with diverse educational and professional experiences and accomplishments. It helped me see myself, my career, and my choices from a variety of perspectives, and exposed me to management concepts and strategies that I was completely unfamiliar with. I came away from the group more confident in my strengths, with a better understanding of my goals and priorities for the near future." - Emily Beckman, Public Defender, Montgomery County, MD, WLE Cohort 3 ![]() Jennifer is a fantastic and dedicated coach with extensive experience in and expert guidance on nonprofit management. She goes above and beyond in working with each of her clients and meets you exactly where you are with a wealth of resources and support. My life satisfaction, career, job performance and well-being have all been strengthened through participating in Jen's Emerging Women Leaders course.
Sara Abelson, Senior Director of Programs at Active Minds, Washington DC/Chicago, IL, WLE Cohort 2 "Thanks to Jen, I’m now a certified coaching fanatic. I would highly recommend one-on-one coaching with Jen for anyone who is ready to take their career and life to the next level. Working with Jen was a transformative process for me. Over the course of three months, Jen helped me strategically prepared for a new role at work, while also bringing my life and work into balance. Jen assisted me in identifying my signature strengths, values and vision for what I want my life to look like. She challenged me to make strong choices, make strong “asks” for what I need and want, and create new habits to become more productive and organized. The investment has paid off – I can honestly say that my first 6 months have been a success. I am now equipped to do high-impact, culture-changing leadership in a position of significant responsibility." Women Leaders Emerging was a fantastic experience for me. Jen is incredible in tapping into what is really going on inside a person, under all the dust and rubble that piles up over the years. The way the whole model is set up in fantastic. The slow progress on understanding your goals and aspirations really brings out things about yourself that you might have not known or realized. And the fantastic group of ladies that you interact with every week, help you work through the new realizations. Its incredible how I had never met any of the women in my group until after our session was over, but trusted them with so many feelings that I couldn't share with others. I highly recommend it for any woman!
Alumna, International Development & Event Planning, Washington, DC (WLE Cohort 3) WLE is an amazing experience for any emerging woman leader who has the drive and passion to be greater than herself in all she does. My journey in this program was one of not only self-awareness, but one of also becoming aware of others' making an incredible difference in people's lives around the world. We were all in various stages of transition in our own lives, but completed the WLE experience together to emerge as our best and stronger selves. Thank you Jen for leading the charge!

"I had a fantastic experience working with Jen to develop my educational and professional goals. She gave me a new perspective on my decision-making process and introduced options that I had never before considered for myself. Jen is very perceptive and does a great job of reading between the lines to help her clients understand their own hesitations or ambitions and how to navigate them in the best way possible. I highly recommend working with her!"
- Jenna, Job Development Coordinator and MBA Candidate "Sarah was genuinely interested in me and in helping me reach my goals. Her probing questions were on point and pulled some truth out of my experiences to set me on the right path."
- Casey, Manager in the Building Services industry I’m in the midst of some major life changes - moving across the country, building a new house, and an uncertain job future. My sessions with Amy have really helped me address my fears and concerns. I'm able to look at things with a more realistic and practical view. This allows me to put my fears aside and move forward despite all of the unknowns. I'm grateful for the tools Amy has provided to help me get out of my rut.
– Julie Hackett, CTACC, Founder of Journey Wellness Coaching "Jen is a fantastic coach! Thoughtful and compassionate, she helped me to focus on what I really want to get out of my professional life and to identify concrete actions that would open up new opportunities. Jen always asked direct questions that gently challenged my assumptions and helped me focus on forming new, positive habits that will allow me to maintain my momentum moving forward. After two months of one-on-one sessions, I feel empowered and ready for the next steps in my career. "
- Joanna, Project Manager & Policy Advisor, Washington, D.C. “...Her mark on my career, and I suspect the careers of many others, is indelible"
- Jackie, Project Manager & Consultant, Arlington, VA "Working with Jen for a few short weeks has given me tools to craft the work life I want now, at this late stage of my career. I have creative approaches to understanding what I want out of my work and personal life and future. And I have a road map for getting there!"
B.G., Lawyer and senior manager, private investment company "Sarah is a wonderful coach. She immediately puts people at ease and provides a safe space to talk about important issues. Plus, her excitement and enthusiasm about life and its possibilities is infectious!
In my case, Sarah provided great insights and tools for moving ahead in my job search. I was feeling stuck at the time and having trouble expressing (and knowing) what my professional skills and strengths were. She helped me identify them, determine which ones I wanted to use in the workplace, and then find sectors in which I could use those skills. I highly recommend her! " - Liz, Chicago, IL |
"Working with Jen was rewarding and enlightening, and helped me clarify the decisions I needed to make in order to move my career to a new place. I came away better organized to approach a career change, having identified my priorities and how to build on my strengths. These results are a testament to Jen's insight and skill as a manager and a coach."
- Director, High Profile International Foundation and Advocacy Organization, Washington, DC Working with Amy has been a great opportunity to set aside structured time to develop—and pursue!—my longer-term career goals. Charting a satisfying career path can be a daunting process, and it’s immensely helpful to know that Amy’s in your corner to listen to you, help you identify and clarify your goals and values, and keep you motivated as you face challenges. If you’re looking to make a career move, Amy is your go-to woman. – Caitlin C. Schnur, B.A., A.M., Workforce Research and Policy Fellow at Heartland Alliance
"Jen is the genuine article. Articulate, compassionate, and highly intelligent, Jen inspires through example as well as through direct interaction. In a time of personal transition, I received great benefit and encouragement from Jen's generous (and positively conspiratorial) coaching. I am grateful for her presence in my life and recommend her enthusiastically"
- Kelly, Senior Project Manager "Sarah is very supportive and inspiring. As someone who owns her own business in a creative field, I can often get discouraged and lose sight of my goals. She helped me refocus and reframe my personal and business goals, as well as giving me that little kick I needed!" - Anna, Freelance Visual Artist, Makeup Artist, and Writer I have lots of years of experience, much of it I have never reflected on because I am so busy. And despite my professional experience, I still lack a lot of confidence when it comes to selling my best qualities. Amy helped me focus my energy on the most urgent professional issues in my path, and helped me sort out the gifts and talents I bring with me professionally. She helped me articulate the value I bring to potential employers and other professional relationships. Young women really need support when it comes to having the confidence to realize their goals, and sometimes even need support to find and admit their abilities. Amy really helped me get there. – Mary Lynch-Dungy, MSW "Working with Conspire Coaching was one of the best proactive steps I have taken in managing my career. Conspire Coaching was highly professional, well prepared, and extremely dedicated in helping. I found her questions highly probing and insightful, allowing me to focus on the key factors in making decisions. I would highly recommend her to any professional: whether early in your career or a seasoned executive."
- A Vice President, Telecommunications Firm, Washington, D.C. "Sarah was so easy to talk to; she has a warm and inviting personality. She helped me bring clarity to a topic I was struggling with by guiding me to answers that were probably there all along." - Karen, Project Manager Supervisor, St Paul, MN |
Women Leaders Emerging Results
The following are some quotes from participants directly from their Women Leaders Emerging program evaluations.:
Clarity of Strengths, Goals & Purpose
I really feel like I'm walking out of this program with a much deeper sense of ownership over who I am, what I contribute and what I want. It's really helpful to be made to name things like my mission, vision, goals, etc, and then to delve into each of those pieces so fully that I know I've really given them a lot of thought. I feel as if I can articulate those things more deeply to myself, which makes me better able to see where my life is and is not meeting or working towards those mission/vision/goals/strengths. It builds confidence in a very real way -- I both feel more secure in my own strengths and abilities and I also feel that I have a solid set of tools for the areas that are more challenging for me.
Clear language that helps me communicate who I am, what I want, where I am going to myself and other.
Language around a vision for my life and career goals. Freedom from some struggles that were holding me back.
I have a solid foundation for who I am as a woman and as a leader. I know have the language, tools, and skills to take on my business more definitely.
Ways to think through things. Figuring out goal setting and focus. Developing a values-centered life, instead of a success-centered/achievement-centered life that I've been following.
I am more confident about what I value, and making decisions based on my values. I worked through significant periods of transition at work and personally, including challenging times where my values were tested. I learned about what I love to do (which includes coaching and supporting others).
How to be more focused, how to create habits, what are my strengths and how those inform my values and my mission.
I have a much stronger sense of my strengths and professional aspirations.
In addition to the strongest self work mentioned above, developing a strategic plan for my future and figuring out what I wanted to do was exactly what I needed to do...but wasn't sure how to get started.
A supportive network of driven women that I trust.
I really enjoyed listening to other women voice their experiences and challenges and having the opportunity to provide feedback. I was also pleased with the feedback and suggestions that I received during my BoDs as well.

Inner Strength, Confidence & Power
SO much! WLE really helped me remember how much power and possibility I have in my own life. I sometimes feel like the status quo is all that there is--and it most certainly isn't! Seeing so many examples of women doing awesome and empowered things--and witnessing how the group helped them envision, begin, and/or complete different undertakings--inspired and motivated me. WLE also helped me have more patience with myself in terms of the time required to identify goals, make changes to move toward them, and grapple with obstacles while still making progress. Being able to look back at the end of the year was really valuable.
On my worst days now, I push myself harder instead of giving up. I strive to be my strongest self.
Strength, sense of solidarity, confidence in myself, joy from getting to know other amazing humans. I really appreciated all the work that went into the program, syllabus, etc. So thoughtful.
Acknowledging and appreciating my strengths.
I think I became a stronger person through this program. And the reasons are many: Through hearing others' experiences, I realized we all have unique difficulties in our careers that we must overcome. Through talking about my own experiences, I realized I have been through a lot and really done well, showing me just how strong I am. Through pushing myself to do bigger, greater things, I have come to understand that I can do almost anything.
Focusing on yourself and your process, transition, goals, and values takes a lot of intentionality, and belief in yourself! I feel like taking this time made me feel like my time is more valuable, and that I am worth focusing on in this intentional way that I hadn't necessarily considered in the same way. I also learned that focusing on these things has to do with skill-building - it's not just instinct and insight.
Not only did I learn a lot about myself - my values, my strengths, my goals, my mission in life - but I also felt empowered to actually live in a way that aligned with all of those things. Further, I acquired the confidence and the concrete tools to make significant changes in my life, both personally and professionally.
My biggest and most valuable take-away is a renewed sense of direction and confidence. I can not begin to explain in words how critical and evolutionary this process has been in helping me sort through what I really desire and what I don't -- what I deserve and what I don't -- to shed some of the baggage that just hangs out in my head and confuses me -- and how to value the unique person that I am.

Agency & Drive
I took away more than I could fit on this page. The main idea that I took away as a result of this program is that as an emerging woman leader, I am always at choice in some way or another, whether I realize it or not. I now feel like I have so many tools to navigate all kinds of professional situations (and personal), and I have so much clarity around what I believe I am meant to be doing.
The way that I look at my life and the choices ahead of me has literally changed in a positive way. I feel more comfortable and excited to explore and take on the challenge of living a life that reflects my values. This concept was a big shift for me because it took a lot of the guessing out and put me in the drivers seat as someone who is responsible for my own choices. Finding a way to make choices and form habits that represent my values is empowering where before it felt like I would only stumble upon that if I got lucky.
More focused goals, the big picture and a path to get there. Also this experience was great for self-reflection. I was able to identify areas in my life that I could improve on and also feel good about areas that I have been successful in.

Community, Support & A Professional Network Of Mission Driven Women
I also took away a great deal of admiration for other strong women who are so uniquely different. These unique perspectives came through every week in our phone calls, and it was a paradox shift for me to observe that continuously -- rather than trying to find commonality and common language, really appreciating different approaches to looking at the issues brought up in WLE. It challenged me in multiple ways.
WLE helped me set priorities for moving forward with building a network.
I am taking away new connections to women all around the country. I am also taking away a new sense of motivation and clarity.
I am also taking away a lot of admiration for the other women in the circle, who have similar and different barriers than me, but who really put in a lot of time and energy towards strangers. I really loved the community that was formed and was very impressed by how much it worked.
I also really found it valuable to connect with a group of women in this structured, formal, but really genuine, supportive environment. Certainly a rare opportunity! I work with all women and have lots of female friends but we definitely are not set up to support each other in this intentional, open, self-reflective and feedback-giving way. I loved that aspect of it.
New co-conspirators, friendships, insights about myself, connectivity/relatedness to others.
The co-conspirator sessions helped me become a better friend/better listener/better co-worker. The structure and intentionality of the program really kept me in check with myself and made me more aware of those around me. My takeaway is that I can be a better version of myself more of the time if I take time out of each week to focus on me and these reflective activities.
I took away new frameworks I will use to structure my thinking, as well as new paradigms I will use to continue to evaluate my role in the workplace. I am also taking away from the experience a set of new friends, who I have no doubt will continue to provide strategic, emotional, and networking support as we progress in our careers.
